Temporary Permit Applications



TEMPORARY PERMIT APPLICATIONS
FROM THE 1ST OF NOVEMBER 2008

 

EXTENSIONS TO EXISTING TEMPORARY PERMITS WHERE NO DIFFICULTIES ANTICIPATED:

(i) Where a client requires an extension to an existing temporary permit where the client is clearly entitled to a further extension in accordance with NZIS policy:

  • Our fee $400 plus GST + disbursements
  • Deposit of $450 plus the NZIS fee (if any) is required*


APPLYING FOR A NEW TEMPORARY PERMIT

(ii) Applying for a work permit or student permit for the first time or an extension to a work/student permit where maximum time on a work/student permit has already been granted:

  • Our fee for lodging an application for a work permit/student permit is $950 plus GST + disbursements
  • If an employment contract is required to be drafted this will be also charged according to the difficulty involved and the number of provisions required in the contract.  Generally the fee for this will be $250 plus GST
  • Where the applicant resides overseas an extra $200 plus GST will be charged on top of our fee of $950 when the application is lodged
  • After lodgement of the application, if there is a need for any further work to be done, this will be charged on a time spent/work done basis
  • Deposit required is $850 plus the NZIS fees.  If an employment contract is to be drafted then this will need to be paid as well as the $850 deposit prior to lodgement of the application.

(iii) Visitors Visas where Applicant is overseas and wanting to visit New Zealand:

  • Our fee for lodging the application is $950 plus GST + disbursements.  Thereafter any work is charged on a time spent/work done basis
  • A deposit of $800 plus the application fee is required

     

* Please note that if you are based overseas at the time you instruct us to represent you then we may ask for our deposit to be higher to cover the associated risk of non-recovery
